Accent Magazine - August's Cocktail of the month
Want To Impress (WTI) presents… The Seven Deadly Sins Masquerade Ball, Saturday, December 5, 2009. WTI will transport you back to Venice circa 1650, tantalising each of your senses, in the opulent surroundings of Close House (www.closehouse.co.uk).
WTI will make this a night to remember whether you want to test your greed at the old-style gambling tables, sample the delights of pampering or just simply party with the resident or special guest DJ. WTI will ensure there is something going on to delight you.
To whet your appetite, I demonstrate how to make one of the many amazing cocktails which will be on
offer – the Masquerade Martini.
INGREDIENTS
37.5ml Grey Goose L’Citron
25ml Chambord
12.5ml Fresh lemon juice
12.5ml Pomegranate juice
Barspoon vanilla gomme
2 Mint leaves
METHOD
Lightly muddle the mint in the Boston glass.
Add remaining ingredients and fill with ice.
Shake vigorously.
Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a mint leaf.
Enjoy.
