What you have to do is create a truly World Class vodka cocktail and you could be jetting off on an amazing Venezuelan experience as a regional winner, plus representing your region in the UK Grand Final.

Here the 12 regional winners across three spirit categories will pit their skills and mix their creations against the UK’s finest bartenders, all judged under the scrutiny of a high profile exclusive celebrity panel.

The winner can expect comprehensive coverage in GQ and other industry magazines, as well as massive PR exposure – and will see their face and bar on a billboard in their city!

To launch this in Newcastle, the kind folks of Diageo will be bringing up Prof. Tony Blake, who will blow your mind by discussing the psychology of flavour.

He has was heavily involved with Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck cookbook, as his food science mentor. He has an amazing outlook on flavour and the perception of it. It will be extremely fascinating and interesting!!!

The session will be held at The Living Room on the 15th March 2009, with Martini reception at 14.00 and will covering around 12 vodka brands.
